For public school systems like ours, the state’s bullying bill recently passed and signed into law by the governor, is just one more reason to remain vigilant in the fight against bullying.

For quite some time Lynn’s public schools have had a protocol in place to handle bullies and bullying.

The new state law attempting to ban bullying goes a long way toward augmenting what was already in place here.

As in other cities like ours, the state law will simply be another line of defense against bullies who make life for others miserable, and at times, dangerous.

For all intents and purposes, bullying is about to be gone from our public schools – and a better day is what all our children face as a result.
