Paul Centofanti

Orient Heights resident

Paul P. Centofanti of Orient Heights East Boston died by accident on May 18.

A US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was the beloved husband of Sonya (Kenney) Centofanti; father of Lisa Polito and Tara Leary, both of Lynn, Andrea Centofanti of Revere and Mallory S. Hanley; cherished son of Lucy (Moscone) Centofanti of Florida and the late Alfred “Chippy”; dear brother of Alfred of Nevada, Ann Gardela of Florida, Clorinda DiMeo and Robert Centofanti; cherished grandfather of Ava, Alessio, Isabella, Domenic and Evan.

His Funeral will be held from Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere at 11 o’clock. Victoria Balon, 94

Retired Assembly Line Supervisor

Victoria T. Balon, a retired Assembly Line Supervisor, died on May 15 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home where she has been receiving supportive care for the past four years. She was 94 years old.

Born in Springfield and raised in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Florencz and Magdalena (Bidon) Balon. She attended St. Stanislaus Parochial and Chelsea High School and worked for B.F. Goodrich in Watertown as an Assembly Line Supervisor overseeing the manufacture of waterproof shoes and boots. She was medically retired at the age of 55. For many years, she was a member of the North Shore Assembly of God Church in Malden.

She was the dear sister of the late Josephine Strychalski and Frank Balon; cherished aunt of Carolyn Doucette and her husband, Mark, of Lynn and Robert Balon of Florida.

Honoring her wishes, funeral services are private. She will be placed to rest alongside her mother at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Stephanie Dembowski, 96

Member of Many Organizations

Stephanie R. (Kwiecinski) Dembowski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 18. She was 96 years old.

She was born and educated in Lynn and a life long resident of this city before moving with her son in Maine six months ago. Before her retirement, she worked at Hoague & Sprague Box Factory, General Electric Co. and Hopkins Stay Co. She was a life long communicant of St. Michael’s Church and a member of Sr. Michael’s PMA Lodge 630, St. Hedwig’s Society, Holy Rosary Sodality, Sr. Michael’s Sodality, Sr. Michaels Retirees, IUE Local 201 Retirees and St. Michael’s and IUE Bowling Leagues.

She was the daughter of the late Franciszek and Rosalia (Karmiarczyk) Kwiecinski and the loving wife of 68 years of the late William. She is survived by one son, Edward, and his wife, Marie Dembowski; one granddaughter, Elaine, and her husband, Chad Lebree, all of Maine. She was the sister of Genevieve Hansen of Salem and the aunt of a special niece, Stephanie, and her husband, Bill Rice, and their children, Elise and Brook of Marblehead; sister in law of Eleanor Dembowski of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Felix, Walter and infant sister, Diane Kwiecinski.

Funeral arrangements were by the Nadworny Funeral home, Lynn. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
