Grace Galloway

Hospital Volunteer

Grace E. Galloway of Methuen, formerly a long time resident of Everett and Newton Centre, died on February 19.

A former Bank of Boston telecommunications department employee and a proud Whidden Hospital volunteer for 16 years, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert M. and Lillian E. (Brodie) Galloway; devoted cousin of Dorothy Latta and her husband, David, of Stoneham, David McCall and his wife, Elaine, of Wakefield, Charles Pelletier and his wife, Jeannette, of Connecticut, Richard Pelletier of Connecticut and James Galloway of Braintree; adoptive mother of Robert Young and his wife, Catherine, of Methuen and adoptive grandmother of Lisa, Robert and Danielle and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by many close friends and her church family at Austin Square Baptist Church in Lynn.

Her Funeral Service will be held in the Austin Square Baptist Church, corner of Boston Street and Kelsar Avenue, Lynn,  Wednesday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours  are today,Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Frances ‘Sis’ Nolan-Pimental

Nurse’s Aide and Past President of Amvets Post 116

Frances A. “Sis” Nolan-Pimental of Malden died on February 13 at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere. She was 79 years old.

During her working years she was a nurses aide at the Dexter House Nursing Home and was a Past President of the Amvets Post 116 in Malden.

The devoted wife of the late Francis F. Nolan and Joseph Pimental, she was the beloved mother of Lloyd Nolan and his wife, Belinda, of Lynn and the late Harold “Chris” Nolan, Robert F. Nolan, Lisa Anne Nolan and Joseph P. “Jody” Nolan; sister of William Vining of Peabody and the late Robert, Richard, Frank, Arthur, Thelma, Kenneth and Milford; cherished grandmother of Michelle Matayabis of Lynn, Lisa Nolan and Joey Nolan both, of New Hampshire and Robert Nolan of Wakefield. She is also lovingly survived by her great grandchildren, Madison and McKenna as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bridget Hardy

Of New Hampshire, formerly of Lynn

Bridget E. (Conway) Hardy of Pembroke, NH, formerly of Lynn, died on February 14. She was 62 years old.

The wife of the late William H. Hardy, she was the loving mother of Theresa E. Corcoran and her husband. Steve, of Everett, Lisa Ann Hardy and her fiancé, David Callahan, of Allenstown, NH, Debra Lynn Schrader of Jacksonville, FL, Kathleen Marie Sacco and her husband, Michael, of Lynn and Maureen Ethel Hardy of Lynn; sister of Ellen T. Hardy and her husband, Francis X., of Peabody. She also leaves eight grandchildren.

Sozio Pellegrino

Long Time Machinist

Sozio Pellegrino of Lynn died suddenly at Salem Hospital on February 19. He was 74 years old.

Born in Italy, he was the son of Onofrio and Palmina (Novasco) and the husband of Anna (Trasente) with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. He was educated in Italy and served in the military before coming to the United States. He was a machinist at the Boston Machine Company for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Onofrio ‘Norm” and his wife, Kimberly Segio, of Stowe, two daughters, Rita and her husband, Thomas Bouzane of Gafy, NC and Palmira and her husband, Wayne Pearson of Danvers; a Godson, Sabino Russo of Marblehead; four sisters, Giuseppina Pagnetta, Elvira Ruzzo, Lucia Altavilla and Rosetta Guerrera, all of Italy. He was the brother of the late Onofrio Sozio and beloved grandfather of seven grandchildren: Nicholas and Danielle Sozio, Catherine, Christina and Christopher Bonzane and Wayne and Amanda Pearson as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Nadworny Funeral Home, 798 Western Avenue, Lynn on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn.  Visiting hours are Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Those who wish, may make donations to the National Center for Padre Pio, 2213 Old Route 100, Bartow, PA 19504.
