Paul Thomas King

Lynn resident

Paul Thomas King of Lynn died on July 2. He was 48 years old.

He was born and raised in Malden, the son of the late Thomas and Leona (Rettmeier) King and has lived in Lynn for the past 11 years.

He is survived by his grandmother Corinne Diluigi of Revere, his brothers, Dwayne King and Thomas McLaughlin, both of Brockton, Paul McLaughlin of Whitman and his sister, Lille Mann of Brockton, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, Lynn.

Violet DePaulo

Aetna Insurance of Boston retiree

Violet A. (Ariniello) DePaulo, formerly of Revere and Chelsea, died at the Wingate of Kingston in Kingston, MA on July 8 following a brief illness. She was 87 years old.

Born and raised in Revere, she was a 1942 graduate of Revere High School. She lived in Revere until marrying in 1949 when she moved to Chelsea. For more than 25 years, she worked as a claims adjustor with Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance Co. of Boston, retiring in 1989. She also worked as a comptometer operator for General Electric of Lynn prior to her career with Aetna.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be sorely missed.

She was the wife of the late John P. DePaulo who died in September of 1984 , the devoted mother of Donna M. Metcalf and her husband, Neil of Kingston, John P. DePaulo Jr. of Brighton, Richard J. DePaulo and his wife, Anna of San Francisco, CA, Stephen J. DePaulo and his wife, Sue Yen of Marblehead, Diane F. Crowley and her husband, William of Rockland, Denise R. Lynch and her husband, Michael of Atkinson, NH and Maria A. DiCenso and her husband, Domenic of Lynn. She is also lovingly survived by 13 grandchildren, two great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. She was the dear sister of the late Lydia Buckley, Mary Breton, Americo and Robert Ariniello.

Family & friends are invited to attend her Funeral from the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) Revere, Wednesday, July 13 at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701
