The Lynn Breakers Soccer Team won the Division 1 Essex County Soccer Championship at Pingree School in Essex Sunday with a 1-0 victory over Peabody.

The Breakers will now represent Essex County in the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions/State Championship this upcoming weekend in Lancaster at Citizens Bank

Soccer Complex against all the State County Champions.

Francesca Galeazzi, who also plays for Lynn Classical, scored Lynn’s only goal in a physical, intense game.

“The girls played tremendously. Everyone hustled and there was smart play by the girls throughout the contest,” said Tim Phelan, coach for the Breakers.

“Any time a team plays with as much heart and passion as these girls they are tough to beat. The best thing though is they are great players but even better kids,” he added.
