Congratulations, Santa Famiglia Mixed Lodge Sons of Italy

It was an honor for the Lynn Journal to be invited to a meeting of the Santa Famiglia Mixed Lodge No. 2834, Order Sons of Italy at the Holy Family Church Hall on Bessom Street.

We learned that while Santa Famiglia is celebrating its eighth year, the Sons of Italy in Lynn was originally chartered in 1917 and is among the oldest in Massachusetts. Membership is open to all and service includes active participation in many Lynn, state and national charitable events.

The organization also donates scholarships to deserving students who are continuing their education in college.

We want to congratulate new president Diana Travascio, vice president and immediate president Ralph Jamieson, treasurer Donna Ruocco, financial secretary Frank Iacono, and orator Peter Frangipane and thank all the officers and members for the great work they do in our community and for promoting the Italian language and culture in our city.

We wish the Lodge “Buona Fortuna” and continued success in all its endeavors.
