Paul Twomey

Life Member of the Polish legion American Veterans, Post 56

Paul F. Twomey of Saugus died at home after a long illness on April 17. He was 61 years old.

Born in Portland, Maine, the son of the late Paul P. and Mary M. (McDonnell) Twomey, he was a graduate of Bronxville High School in New York, attended Dartmouth College and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Fordham University. He received his Masters Degree from Webster University. He served in the US Marine Corps for six years as a Lance Corporal.

He was a warehouse manager for Service Merchandise Company before it closed, a communicant of the former St. Michael’s Church, a Life Member of the Polish legion American Veterans, Post 56, Lynn and served as Post Commander and Department of Massachusetts Commander. He was Veteran of the Year in 1997 and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Vallodolid 70.

He was the beloved husband of Regina A. (Kmiec) Twomey with whom he shared 31 years of marriage and is also survived by one brother, Mark M. Twomey of Berwin, PA, Nancy T. Nicholson of Hamilton and Patricia T. Mahoney of Sudbury as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
