The Lynn Fireworks Celebration will be held at Red Rock Park in Lynn on Wednesday, July 3. Lois Lane and the Daily Planets will be performing from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the park. The Fireworks show will start at approximately 9 p.m.
Fewer parking spaces will be available in the area of Lynn Shore Drive due to the needs of public safety vehicles. Visitors are asked to obey all parking restrictions posted. Residents that are able to walk to the event or park further away are encouraged to do so to help alleviate traffic congestion upon leaving the event.
Alcohol is not permitted at the event. This will be strictly enforced.
If anyone has any information regarding suspicious behavior, they are encouraged to contact the Lynn Police Department at (781) 595-2000 or they can text a tip to Lynn Police at (tiplynn and then the information to tip411). If the event is an emergency and ongoing they should call 911 for all emergencies.
Traffic will be shut down on Lynn Shore Drive at Nahant Street and into Swampscott on Humphrey Street at 7:30 p.m. Traffic will not open to motorists until pedestrians have cleared the area. Traffic will be shut down on Ocean Street from New Ocean to Lynn Shore Drive at 6:30 p.m.
Only approved vendors will be permitted to sell items on Lynn Shore Drive during this event. Any vendor without the event permit will be fined and banned from the event.
A decision to delay the show due to inclement weather will be made prior to 7 a.m. on the morning of July 3. Please check CityofLynn.net or the city’s twitter @LynnCityHall for up-to-date information on the event.
