Over 60 Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce members recently attended the launch of the new Young Professionals initiative (YP) with a spirit and food tasting on top of the All Care VNA roof deck with Ryan and Wood Distilleries from Gloucester and Mystic Brewing Company from Chelsea. The mission of the Young Professionals group is to give young professionals and entrepreneurs and opportunity to network with others from their generation while offering “left of center events and networking opportunities with a non-traditional twist”. Plans are in the works for an autumn scavenger hunt, team game etc which will involve visiting businesses and networking, followed by a night of bowling in December. While this initiative targets young professionals 25 – 45 years of age, all are encouraged and invited to attend.
Committee Tri-Chairs are Brendan Ward (Ward Estate & Family Law), Brandon Freeman (Wayne Alarm systems) and Anthony Migliaccio (Salvy the Florist) and Jim Reece (Welch Florist), Joe Scianatico (Salem Five) and Andrew Nazarro (KW Insurance). The committee welcomes other young professionals to join them and create the series.
Food for the launch was donated by Asian Garden, Green Tea, John’s Roast Beef, Lazy Dog Sport Bar and the Lynnway Sports Center.
