Children’s Concert and Day At the Park Set for July 30

The Friends of Lynn and Nahant Beach will hold the Sixth Annual Children’s Concert and Day at the Park” on Saturday, July 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The event will be held at Red Rock Park on Lynn Shore Drive overlooking Lynn beach.

The popular Toe Jam Puppet Band will perform from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.  The band interacts with the kid’s and gets them involved with the show.

There will be activities for the kid’s including Northeastern University Marine Science Center’s Traveling Aquarium, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay will have a pirate storyteller and there will be fish printing for the kids, face painting, balloon animals, bubble machines, hula hoops and arts and crafts.

Representatives from the Lynn Police Department and Lynn Fire Department and will also participate.

It will be a fun day full of festival activities for the kid.  Make plans to join us at Red Rock Park on Saturday July 30th.

The Friends of Lynn and Nahant Beach is a non-profit organization that promotes the maintenance and upkeep of the Lynn and Nahant beaches under the control of the Department of Conservation and Recreation.  The Friends sponsor free programs on the beach during the months of July and August including free Thursday night concerts between 6-8 pm.
